The Best Noise-Canceling Headphones: Sony WH-1000XM4 Review

If you’re on the hunt for the best noise-canceling headphones, you might have heard about the recently-released Sony WH-1000XM4. And if you’ve read our review, you might know it’s not your average pair of headphones. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about these cutting-edge headphones, from what makes them so special to how to buy them and get the most out of your purchase.

Build Quality and Comfort

The new Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones are the best noise-canceling headphones on the market. They’re well-built, comfortable, and have great sound quality. The only downside is that they’re a bit expensive. But if you want to get the best noise-canceling headphones on the market, then these are worth it. It’s always nice when a company doesn’t take its customers for granted by charging an arm and a leg for their products. The headband isn’t too tight, nor too loose – there’s just enough pressure to keep them in place while still giving some flexibility. And at 250 grams or so, they’re very light and feel very comfortable after long periods of time. The ear cups aren’t too big or small either – there’s just enough room to fit your ears inside with minimal pressure but also not so much space that your ears end up feeling sweaty.

One potential drawback of the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones is that battery life isn’t all that great; at around 15 hours of use with noise cancelling turned on, we found ourselves needing to charge them every two days or so.

Sound Quality and Call Quality

The headphones are very comfortable and have great sound quality. The call quality is also very good. I was able to hear the person on the other end of the line clearly, and they were able to hear me just as well. The noise-canceling feature works great, too. I didn’t hear any background noise when I was wearing them. These headphones are definitely worth the price! They’re really easy to connect with bluetooth, charge quickly and come with a carrying case. I don’t usually like in-ear earbuds because they hurt my ears after awhile but these ones are so comfortable that it doesn’t bother me at all. The buttons for volume control, fast forward/reverse/play pause, answering calls etc. work really well and it’s easy to adjust the volume or skip songs without having to touch your phone at all.

Battery Life and Noise Cancelling

The headphones have a battery life of 30 hours and can be charged via USB-C. The noise cancelling is incredible, completely silencing even the loudest of environments. With three different modes, you can customize the level of noise cancellation to fit your needs. Plus, the built-in voice assistant is a handy addition. Overall, these are the best noise-canceling headphones on the market and well worth the price tag. They’re comfortable, durable, and give the highest level of sound quality for their category.

Buy Now, Or Wait For Version Two?

The new Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones are the best noise-canceling headphones on the market. If you’re in the market for a new pair of headphones, these should be at the top of your list. But if you already have a pair of Sony headphones, is it worth upgrading? And if you don’t have any noise-canceling headphones, are these the ones you should buy? Let’s take a look. First off, the sound quality is phenomenal. They might not be as good as high-end audiophile cans like Sennheiser HD 800S or Bowers & Wilkins PX but they’re pretty damn close and they’ve got so much more going for them in terms of design and features. As soon as you put them on, they feel luxurious–a step up from cheaper noise-canceling headphones like Beats Studio3 Wireless or Bose QuietComfort 35 II which feel less expensive and plasticky by comparison. They also do an excellent job at blocking out all that pesky background noise–even better than Beats Studio3 Wireless!

Where To Buy?

You can find the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones at a variety of retailers, both online and in store. I would recommend looking for them at Amazon, Target, or Best Buy. The headphones are also available direct from Sony. They offer some great bundles that come with cables and cases. These include the WI-1000X (wireless) and WI-100X (wireless). The WI-1000X is a slightly more expensive model but it has noise cancelling built into the ear cup. It’s one of their best sellers because it has three noise cancelling modes that provide ambient sound control as well as touch controls on the right ear cup. It’s also light weight, comfortable to wear, wireless, has Bluetooth compatibility, voice control and touch controls on the right ear cup which make it perfect for travel!
